This anemone is hard to distinguish even for us. In fact, we had to return to Legan Island for these photos. A piece of the anemone showed up in some video that was unrecognized until we reviewed the video later at home. We have seen perhaps six individuals of this very potent and venomous animal and each one has been strikingly unique. There is no doubt we pass over many without recognizing them. Just to make clear, the anemone is the fuzzy green and white blob between the two tan hard corals.
