Deer cowry - Lyncina vitellus

Lyncina vitellus is known as the "deer cowry." Common throughout the atoll, they can reach over 80mm. Measuring 30mm, this one was found in an algae patch and displayed its beautiful gray mantle, which creates and maintains its smooth shell.
