Brittle star

Many invertebrates rarely see the light of day as to do so would invite a host of hungry predators to make a meal of them, so the diversity of their colors and patterns makes for a constant wonder. This brittle star is a great example with intricate markings on its long legs and oral disk. The legs easily measured 150mm and the disk 15mm.
