Triton - Cymatium gutturnium

This Cymatium gutturnium was only the second specimen we have seen and was well camouflaged. Initially unseen, an odd plume of purplish ink prompted a closer look at a small patch of sand in the algae, where the shell was seen slowly moving. Like all Cymatiums, it had a beautifully spotted animal. 60mm
