One of the most common soft corals in Pohnpei, this Scleronephthya species thickly covers walls where strong currents flow. Although not uncommon at Kwaj, it seldom occurs in vast quantities like Pohnpei. Even in Pohnpei, it is most often small, not exceeding 50-70mm, but many colonies such as this one are much larger.
