Lab cowry - Cypraea (Erosaria) labrolineata

Cowry shells found living in algae seem predisposed to keeping their mantles fully extended, and Cypraea labrolineata is a good example. The complex assortment of colorful papillae make them nearly invisible even to a trained eye, as evidenced by the next photo.
