Threespot flounder - Samariscus triocellatus

This small flounder species, Samariscus triocellatus (30mm), is almost as difficult to see in this photo as he was to see in the wild. Except for a dark pectoral fin that waved back and forth, his pattern made him nearly invisible. This photo shows only the head, pectoral fin and half of his body.
