Parasitic shell - Balcis sp.

A number of these very tiny parasitic Balcis shells were seen living on black sea cucumbers in one small area. These slippery smooth shells seem to be specific to each host species. This is one we had not seen before. Pure white, with eyes located behind the thin shell, this one appeared to be fully adult at 3mm.
