Although Kwaj has not experienced a severe infestation as have some other tropical parts of the world, we have seen some areas damaged by the crown-of-thorns seastar, Acanthaster planci. We often see juveniles, such as this tiny 13mm one. Possibly predators eating these small ones are keeping the population at Kwajalein in check.
