Sea urchin - Eucidaris metularia

This peach colored urchin can often be seen at night in surge channel caves. Its spines are also found littered in the sand, indicating it must be good to eat, probably by fish or crabs. The spines were especially clean on this Eucidaris metularia, 30mm or just over an inch.
