Crabs and shrimp are everywhere at night and there are lots of brown ones! This Lupocyclus sp. crab displays the unusual behavior of typically waving its long thin claw arms menacingly with pincers wide open, resembling a V or Victory signal. We can't resist calling it the "Nixon Crab" although it is also known as the "scissor" crab. This was a small one at perhaps 2 inches from pincer to pincer.
