Sea pen crab - Porcellanella triloba

A curious and unknown behavior limits the number of certain crabs and shrimp species to a single pair on many corals, anemones as well as sea pens. It appears if one is lost there is a likelihood the other is able to "advertise" for a replacement. Perhaps that explains the size difference between this pair of Porcellanella triloba crabs, the larger of which was under 20mm.
