The Spanish Dancer is often home to a pair of Periclimenes imperator shrimp who blend in and hide among the gills, safely reaching out to snag bits of detritus to feed on. The ones that live in association with this large nudibranch here seem to have a distinctive and different pattern from the same species found living with cucumbers and other large nudibranchs.
