Pink coral - Sylaster sp.

The spurs are home to this surprisingly sturdy Styaster coral species that appears to be anchored in thick gray sponge found coating much of the undersides of shallow ridges and outcrops. Besides being beautiful, it is profuse and can form huge masses up to a foot in length (30cm) .
