Although commonly seen in small groups, these large tangs, Naso brevirostris (16in -40cm), usually keep their distance and are normally solid olive brown in color. I came across 4 or 5 individuals who repeatedly charged while flashing a display coloration quite close to me. At first they appeared to be displaying at each other until it became more likely they were displaying at me. Each appeared to be "defending" a small territory for a reason that is still unclear.
