Magnificent sea anemone - Heteractis magnifica

Following another year of especially still, calm doldrums, we have observed bleaching of certain species of anemones. Tentacles on this one are usually light brown. Some think "Bleaching" results from algae in the anemone's tentacles becoming toxic, causing the algae to be expelled. Heteractis magnifica seems especially vulnerable. We hope to visit many of same individuals we photographed in 2009 and 2013 who suffered similar bleaching and recovered.
