Cap shell - Capulus sp.

A possible disadvantage to the host is that the cap shell eventually digs through the turban shell, making a hole that remains covered as long as the cap shell survives. The cap shells do not seem to eat the turban animal, so why it bores the shell is uncertain. The turban shell is around 1.5 inches (4cm).
