Tortoise cowry - Chelycypraea testudinaria

A very unusual find was this juvenile tortoise cowry in what is called a "bulla" stage, having a very thin, fragile shell that will soon thicken as it grows to more than twice its current 2 inch length (50mm). Regrouping of the family Cypraeidae now lists its name as Chelycypraea testudinaria.
