Wentletrap - Epidendrium aureum

Wentletraps feed on live corals or anemones, and this species is found exclusively among Tubastraea corals whose yellow tentacles emerge at night. Its clear shell reveals the animal’s yellow coloration. Its cluster of yellow egg cases nearby are easy to spot when the coral’s polyps are retracted. Epidendrium aureum, 10mm
