Nudibranchs - Glossodoris rufomarginata

Strong wave action on the eastern side of the reef dislodges numerous chunks of sponge that grow in the shallow surf spurs, eventually washing them over and into the lagoon where this tenacious nudibranch species manages to survive until the sponge is consumed. The largest of these Glossodoris rufomarginata was less than 10mm.
