Egg shell - Ovula ovum

Usually uncommon for Kwajalein as well as the Marshall Islands, this Ovula ovum was found in the open feeding on small clumps of Cladiella soft coral. Related to cowries, its pure white shell is nearly always covered by its black mantle, which provides a sponge-like disguise. 2.5 inches (60mm)
