Although occasionally seen on several lagoon pinnacles at depths typically over 40 feet (12 meters) in small cave complexes, G Buoy supports a population of an as yet unobserved animal who builds unusual burrows encased with filaments that are eventually covered with the fine silty sediment common to sheltered lagoon areas. We speculate it may be a type of shrimp or worm but can find no reference to either so for now, its creator remains a mystery. This opening was around 2 inches (50mm).
