Phases of the moon and accompanying tides trigger many things including spawning of polychaete worms. During this memorable night dive, a species of Nereis rose up from the rocks to spawn and inevitably became a feast for many others, including brown tube corals which immobilized the worms allowing me to take a number of close-ups that would otherwise be difficult to capture.
