Large tube anemones (Cerianthus sp) are common in sandy areas and their tentacles are variable in color. They are also home to a variety of crustaceans and sea life that benefit from the protection of their tentacles, which often reach 5 inches (12cm) in diameter. It was unusual to see this anemone’s stalk completely overgrown with a puffy white tunicate. The tube was over 4 inches (10cm) in height.
