Zenopontonia soror (Nobili, 1904)
10-15mm

The shrimp Zenopontonia soror lives in association primarily withn different starfish. Colors are variable, usually matching the host. The first three are different individuals on the blue starfish, Linckia laevigata.

They were also common on Echinaster luzonicus, a starfish that itself varies in color.

The Echinaster luzonicus host below is also coated with benthic ctenophores.

These shrimp are on Nardoa galatheae.

The shrimp are most common on Culcita novaeguineae. It seems a rare Culcita that doesn't have its own group of Zenopontonia.

On Choriaster granulatus.
