Coris flavovittata (Bennett, 1828)
Blackstripe or Yellowstripe coris, 50.8cm

This male was photographed in Kure Atoll lagoon in June, 1979. The common names refer to the female or juvenile coloration; they are not very appropriate for large males. Endemic to Hawaii.
