Ciliopagurus strigatus (Herbst, 1804)

Ciliopagurus strigatus is a common species with a flattened body that enables it to inhabit cone shells, which have narrow apertures that cannot be used by most hermits.

Occasionally the species can be found in other shells witn narrow apertures, such as the Drupa below or various species of cowry.
