Tonna melanostoma (Jay, 1839)

Tonna melanostoma is often inhabited by hermit crabs and brought up in
traps from deep water. The large specimen below was exposed on sandy rubble in
about 4m of water in the lagoon of Kure Atoll, northwestern Hawaiian Islands.
