The Black-winged Stilt was not listed from Kwajalein in the Clapp (1990) study, but would probably be considered an accidental vagrant. The first one we heard of was photographed in September 2015 by Stan Jazwinski near the Kwajalein water plant. A few days later, I saw what was probably the same one across the road from the water plant, wading in a rain puddle next to the runway.
Another individual was photographed in September 2019 by Christina Sylvester near the trash incinerator at the dump on Kwajalein Island. I suspect this one is
