These were usually on hydroids at Tulamben, most often on the shallow flat at the top of the slope. This was one of the more common species in June of 2014. It is similar in size and overall appearance to Tenellia bughaw and often can be found at the same time and place, but there are consistent differences in color pattern and significant differences in genetic divergence.
