20mm

This was one animal I went to Bali with high hopes to see, but feared we would not be able to find. Fortunately, our nudibranch guide Ketut knew exactly where to go and we have seen quite a number of specimens on each of our trips to the Tulamben area. The nudibranchs were on hydroids on a black sand slope in a fairly short stretch of the Tulamben coast east of the Liberty wreck. It is an amazing little creature (up to about 20mm long but mostly smaller) with cerata that sort of resemble stacks of pancakes.

This one looks as though it had lost most of its cerata and they seem to be regenerating.
