Several of these large Elysia species were found well back in Gilimanuk (Secret Bay). They shared the habitat with numerous Elysia marginata, both small and large. The Elysia below were considerably larger than even the largest E. marginata, although there are distinct similarities in color and the larger E. marginata almost looked as though they could be transitional phases between the small and large animals. However, we have seen E. marginata in many other areas (the Marshall Islands, the Philippines, Hawaii) and never do they begin to approach this size.
