Batuniti is maybe a 10 minute van ride east of Tulamben. A sign along the main road marks a turnoff onto a narrow, winding road down to the beach composed of small cobblestones.
Looking west. Seraya is near where the boats are moored in the bay toward the left side of the photo.
Right next to Batuniti is a riverbed, dry when we were there but it clearly flows during the rainy season, bringing down debris and sand from the mountains, leading to essentially a rebirth of the Batuniti slope every year. Because of this, the fauna can change year to year.
Looks as though she is not too sure about these strangely dressed foreigners.
