Tulamben reef

The photos were taken from the Oceanview hotel, right on the beach at the western end of the Liberty wreck, which is just a few meters offshore lying parallel to the slope. We skirted the end of the wreck on one dive, but spent two others angling down to the west to some reefs and sandy slopes. Here we found a number of different seaslugs, plus other interesting creatures such as a mimic octopus (Thaumoctopus mimicus), waspfish (Ablabys macracanthus), a pair of nice white leaffish (Taenionotus triacanthus), a tiny black frogfish, some crabs (Hoplophrys oatesii) living on Dendronephthya soft corals and more.
