Philinopsis speciosa Pease, 1860
15mm

Philinopsis speciosa is known in the Marshalls from perhaps two small specimens found and photographed by Peter and Marissa Brown on sand on the lagoon side of Kwajalein at a depth of 42' (13m).

Although quite different in color, the external anatomy matches Philinopsis speciosa, which is known from other areas to be highly variable in coloration. This 10mm specimen was found on 29 May 2015.
