This species is known from the Marshalls from four specimens found laying eggs on two separate pieces of sunken lumber on a Kwajalein Atoll lagoon reef in 9m of water on 18 March 2013. They all measured around 17 to 18mm in length and varied in color from gray-brown to yellow-green. They are vaguely similar to Hallaxa elongata from Aldabra Atoll in the Indian Ocean, but seem different enough to keep separate.
