This small dorid is a bit of a puzzle. The body looks similar to that of Rostanga sp. e485, but the distinct crater on the dorsum resembles that of some species of Aldisa, which also often have red bodies. The crater is also somewhat similar to that found in Sclerodoris tuberculata, but we have seen small specimens of that species that do not look like this. For now we are keeping it as an unknown Aldisa. It was found at night on Halimeda algae by Jay Lord.
