Platydoris? sp. e835
25mm

Ths photo taken by John and Lynette Flynn at Rongelap Atoll shows a 25mm specimen with its egg mass found under a rock at a depth of about 1m on a current swept reef between islands. Its wide, flattened shape and granular surface are consistent with species of Platydoris.

This elongate, 25mm specimen was found by Stan Jazwinski at a depth of about 9m on the seaward side of Namu Atoll's west reef. Namu is about 56km (35mi) south and a bit east of Kwajalein. By its shape and the apparent more posterior position of the gills, we originally thought this was a species of Dendrodoris.
