This animal resembles a specimen figured by Gosliner et al (2018) as Doriopsilla sp. 3 from Papua New Guinea. We have also seen a specimen, although lighter in color, in Hawaii. It is possible that what we are calling Dendrodoris sp. e903 is a variation of this species.
