We are guessing that this is a small species of Dendrodoris, although Rostanga is another possibility. Dendrodoris nigra juveniles are often red with white spots and white-tipped rhinophores, but I do not recall the white spots being elevated as they are here, nor do I recognize the grayish spots on the red background. It seems better to keep this one separate until more can be learned. This approximately 8mm specimen was found by Christina Sylvester under a rock on the lagoonside of Kwajalein, near the Emon Beach jetty, in February 2015. A smaller one, possibly the same species, was found in November 2014 in a Kwajalein reef quarry.
