Unidentia? sp. e922
13mm

This small eolid was found by John and Lynette Flynn at Majuro Atoll. At this point the genus remains uncertain. While the overall shape looks closer to what we consider Flabellina, the smooth rhinophores are more typical of Unidentia. However, there are two few species of Unidentia known to be sure that is a defining character, and the generic breakdown of what has been considered the Flabellinidae is still subject to dispute. Molecular data of this species or a look at its radula to see if it is triserial (Flabellina) or uniserial (Unidentia) would be needed to confirm, or at least make a better guess at the genus.
