Near the southwestern corner of Oahu is a small park next door to a lighthouse. It has a narrow but nice reef flat for night reefing at low tide. However, last year (2010) when I stopped by to take these photos, I noticed a sign on the gate that said it gets locked after dark. I guess if you want to night reef there, you'll have to park in the road outside and jump the fence.
Near the middle of the shoreline here is a cluster of concrete tubes and rocks alongside a short concrete breakwater. To the left side of this at low tide in calm weather is a relatively narrow exposed intertidal reef with lots of algae and small pools.
This shot was taken at a higher tide, but the reef is pretty much under that white water. This was interesting for night reefing. One night, it was loaded with Hydatina amplustre. Another night there were swams of small Bulla, probably B. peasiana.
