The bottom from Nanakuli on Oahu's west shore slopes out gradually offshore until it hits some small ledges at around 15 meters or so. This was far enough out that I did these ledges only by boat and only occasionally, but this was the best area for Ceratosoma tenue and a good spot to find Goniobranchus sp. h132. I tried diving in close to shore here a couple of times, but there was little relief (no ledges) and few rocks to turn so few species were found.
