We saw several of these at some of the muck and coral rubble sites such as TK 1 and 3, Nudi Falls, Retak Larry and Bianca. Formerly considered G. cincta, recent molecular and morphological study suggests there are several similar species.

We saw two of these with commensal shrimp (Zenopontonia rex) riders. One was snuggled up against a Ceratosoma sp. and the shrimp was passing back and forth between the two nudibranchs.
