Phyllidia ocellata Cuvier, 1804

This species was fairly common on our 1994 trip, but we have no records of it from the earlier 1987 trip. In 1994, we saw at least a dozen specimens at various sites at Nggele and Guadalcanal. We have Phyllidia ocellata recorded from the Marshalls and Pohnpei as well, but in both places they look somewhat different.

This appeared to be a small juvenile Phyllidia ocellata.
