Gymnodoris sp. s094
10mm

This specimen was found under the pier at Honiara harbor, Guadalcanal. It resembles some forms of Gymnodoris sp. e234 figured from the Marshall Islands. It is also similar in appearance to G. citrina, but none of the Marshall Islands specimens of G. citrina had that distinct white band across the anterior base of the gills. This less than 10mm long nudibranch was photographed with half life size framers, so the image had to be zoomed in considerably, adversely affecting resolution.
