Colubraria brinkae Parth, 1992

This would appear to be Colubraria brinkae, known from the Philippines. It has been found on only one occasion at Kwajalein, where four specimens were found under a rock during the day on the seaward reef on 26 July 2004. We have not seen this one feeding, but suspect it parasitizes sleeping fish, like other species of Colubraria. Maximum size is about 35mm. We currently have no photos of the living animal.
