Eupusia cf semicostata (Anton, 1838)
9.0mm
This small species resembles Protoelongata
heleneae in color, but it is much smaller and seems to differ in details
of pattern and sculpture. It has been identified as Vexillum semicostatum
elsewhere, but our shells do not closely match at least one
web figure so we will leave it as tentative for now. They are not especially
rare under rocks on the seaward reef, but we do not have a photo of the living
animal.
