Vexillum aureolineatum is rare at
Kwajalein. Most specimens have been seen in ledges and small caves at night
on lagoon pinnacles and seaward reefs, but at least one was hidden in a Halimeda
plant on a lagoon interisland reef. Depths have ranged from about 10 to 20m.
