Protoelongata loyaltyensis
is a rare species at Kwajalein, found primarily on pinnacle and seaward reefs
under rocks or in small caves at night at depths of about 13 to 20m.
The 9..7mm empty shell below has been identified as a not fully developed specimen
of Protoelongata loyaltyensis that is lacking most of the dark spots,
although some are faintly visible just above the sutures.
